Real Estate For Immigration
Martin Rubin, LLC and Gainesway Realty, Inc. do not provide tax, investment or legal advice. This page contains basic information about the role of real estate in immigration. Consult a qualified immigration attorney.
Did you know that for many foreign nationals the buying and selling of U.S. real estate can be the key to entering, remaining for extended periods, and even residing permanently in the United States?
There is a large number of countries that are Trader/Investor treaty partners with the United States. Citizens of these nations may enter and remain in the United States for the purpose of operating a business and creating jobs. These enterprises may be started with very little money and they may be for the purpose of buying and selling real estate! There are also, of course, many business types that your Realtor® can locate for sale here in South Florida - from gasoline stations to nail salons to restaurants to lawn care to practically anything you can imagine.| Click here to send an instant message to Martin's cell phone: |
For those whose nation of origin is not a treaty partner there are other possibilities. Executive or managerial level employees of a foreign company may be transferred to a United States subsidiary of that company. So those who own (or can start or obtain) a foreign company may create a United States subsidiary of that company - and transfer themselves here. Once again, the company may be for the purpose of buying and selling real estate! These visas currently can be renewed up to a seven year maximum.
Visas with three to six year stays are available for those with college degrees (or the equivalent business experience) in certain specialized occupations. Qualified legal counsel can help tailor any of these strategies to possible eventual permanent residency for some.
When I work as a Buyer's Broker with a foreign national I can make a referral to attorneys who specialize in real estate for immigration purposes, as well as work closely together with them in order to achieve your very important goals.
